Emotions

  • anxiety-related conditions (e.g., obsessive compulsive disorder)
  • trauma-related conditions (e.g., post-traumatic stress disorder)
  • paranoia/delusions
  • stress management
  • anger issues

Cognitions

  • IQ assessment (child/adult)
  • dementia assessment
  • memory assessment
  • mental capacity assessment

Note: Not all conditions are listed here. If you have a particular condition or symptoms in mind, do contact us and drop us your enquiry. If we are not able to provide assessment, we will refer you to the appropriate professional.

Benefits of Assessment

Having a psychological assessment can be helpful to you and your loved ones because:

  • it helps to ascertain your concern whether you are “thinking too much” or professional intervention is warranted
  • it provides information about whether a referral to a GP or a psychiatrist would be helpful as medication may be a useful aid for symptomatic relief
  • it helps an individual gains the rights to accommodative requirements (e.g., longer reading time for examinations) so that this individual can reach his/her maximum potential

What to Expect

Depending on the areas of assessment, a psychological assessment can range from 2 to 5 sessions or 2 to 10 hours of face-to-face interview. For valid results, you are advised to rest and not give yourself undue pressure to perform for the assessment as it can undermine your ability to concentrate. Practical aids such as spectacles and hearing devices should be brought for the assessment so that we know the results were not affected by physical limitations. Within 14 working days, a psychological report with feedback would be provided.
